2026 Group Cruise

Western Caribbean Adventure • Mayan Culture • Real-Life Learning

November 2026

What This Is All About

Alright… so this isn’t just another cruise.

This is our annual big group trip, and this one is going to be a really cool mix of travel, culture, and hands-on experiences your kids will actually remember (not just another “look at this… okay moving on” moment).

We’ll be sailing with Royal Caribbean’s for a Western Caribbean itinerary—with plans to explore parts of Mexico and experience Mayan culture in a way that’s actually engaging.

Think less “touristy chaos” and more:

  •  meaningful experiences

  • time together as a family

  • meeting other like-minded families

  • and still having the freedom to do your own thing

Because let’s be real… nobody wants to feel stuck on a strict schedule the whole trip.

Quick Info (for those skimming)

  • Departure Port— Tampa, Florida

  • Cruise Line— Royal Caribbean

  • Dates— Second week of November

  • Deposit— $105 per person

  • Balance Due— ~30 days before sailing (unless using payment plan)

What We’ll Be Exploring

  • Western Caribbean destinations

  • Mayan culture + history

  • Optional visits to Xcaret Parks (eco-parks with cultural shows, wildlife, underground rivers, and more)

We’ll share more detailed excursion add-on options as we get closer, but just know this trip is being planned with both education + fun in mind.

Who This Is For

  • Homeschool families (especially with older kids)

  • Families who enjoy hands-on experiences over just sightseeing

  • Anyone who wants to travel with a group—but not feel stuck to a strict schedule

Basically... if you like the idea of doing your own thing and having people to connect with when you want—you'll fit right in!

How Our Group Cruise Trips Work

We keep things simple:

  • Submit your information using the button below or [Click Here]

  • Receive your exact quote from our travel agent

  • Secure your cabin directly through the agent

  • Choose which activities and excursions you want to join in with us

  • Participate as much—or as little—as you’d like

Some things will be coordinated (like group meetups or excursions), but a lot of it happens naturally along the way.

No pressure. No forced schedules. No awkward “mandatory fun” moments—all smiles!

If you prefer a very structured, minute-by-minute itinerary, this group style may feel a little too relaxed—and that’s completely okay.

Mrs. Jill

She will be coordinating bookings for this trip. To keep things organized (and avoid everyone reaching out at once), her contact information will be shared after your group deposit is submitted.

You're welcome to book through her (our group) or book independently. However, the $5 group planning fee is required to participate in group activities while on and/or off the ship.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. "What are the dates?"

    • The second week of November, 2026. Exact date provided with quote. If you're not available for the second week of November, please do not submit a quote request.

  2. What do you do for your trips personally?"

    • Honestly, I keep it simple and budget-friendly. I usually book the cheapest room because we're barely in it anyway & allocate more funds towards off-shore excursions instead. I skip pre-paying gratuities and just tip as I go so I know it's actually going to the right people. I also personally pass on travel insurance—but that's just me, and I don't recommend doing that unless you're comfortable or have experience traveling. As for drink packages, I don't drink soda and it doesn't take much alcohol for me haha, so it's always been cheaper to just pay for cocktails as I go instead of committing to a package. But if you plan to drink a lot (more than 10 beers and/or more than 4 cocktails per day), the package might make more sense for you—it really just depends on your vibe lol. And I almost always use a payment plan. I'd rather not drop a big lump sum all at once, plus it helps spread things out (and hey, builds credit too).

  3. "What type of payment plans are offered?"

    • The Travel Agent has options available through their travel agency. I personally use Affirm myself so I can travel, enjoy my time, and pay it off later. Affirm [Click Here] also gives you the option to pay it off early and avoid interest fees too—my favorite part! The Travel Agent can discuss alternative options with you privately after submitting your form.

  4. "How do I get a quote, prices, or more details?"

    • By completing the form [Click Here]. You will receive a group email and text confirmation from both us and the Travel Agent. Be sure you enter the most updated contact information and check your phone/inbox for updates.

  5. "What if I get my quote and decide not to go?"

    • That's okay, maybe next time! Just let us know in writing via email that you need a refund on your $5 pp group planning fee within 24 hours of receiving your quote. After that period has passed, refunds are forfeited since supplies will already be purchased.

  6. "Can I book my own cabin or use my own Travel Agent?

    • Yes, absolutely!  You are welcome to book on your own or use your preferred travel agent if you’d like. However, please keep in mind that families who book outside of our designated group travel agent may not qualify for certain group perks, benefits, incentives, private parties, hosted events, or specialty experiences coordinated through the cruise line and/or the travel agency we are using. A $5 per person RSVP planning fee is still required for anyone wishing to participate in our homeschool group activities, communication chats, goodies, custom lanyards/name tags, and group coordination during the trip.

    • Already booked elsewhere? No worries! In many cases, you may still be able to transfer your reservation into our homeschool group so you can be included in group perks and activities. Generally, reservations must be transferred within 30 days of original booking, cannot be paid in full, and are typically eligible for transfer up to 45 days prior to sailing (subject to cruise line policies). If you’ve already booked and want to explore transferring into our group, just let us know and we’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.

  7. "Who can I contact with questions?"

    • The Travel Agent and I (CFLHSG) will reach out to you within four business days after submitting the form below. If you need answers prior to submitting a quote request, you can reach out to us via email or WhatsApp [Click Here]. For exact dates or prices though, please complete the form below first.

  8. "How do I join the Private Group Chat for this event?"

    • We will send you a link and invite shortly after your quote has been sent.
