No. We operate as a not-for-profit, parent-led homeschool community, meaning no one earns a salary and all support goes toward activities and events. Contributions are not tax-deducible. However, we are working on getting our 501(c)(7)!

Your support means the world to our homeschool group! It helps us continue coordinating fun and educational field trips and events for our families. All over Central Florida! The main location for several of our events will be held in Central Florida region. Occasionally, we will plan trips outside of CFL; however, we try to keep them local for those who are unable to make long distance trips. Main Headcounters = LakeLand and Winter Haven Florida. You'll notice several field trips outside of Florida or the United States too. Our goal is to eventually visit every single state in the USA!

Yes. This is how we are able to track and keep an accurate headcount for each event and how we contact you to keep you informed. By registering as a member, you will be added to our mailing list and agree to receive regular updates, announcements, and other relevant information from us. We respect your privacy and want to make sure you understand and agree to a few privacy things. 1. Personal Information: We collect your name, email address, and any other contact information you provide in our registration form solely for the purpose of communicating our homeschool events and field trips. 2. Data Use: We will not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your details will be used exclusively for sending you updates about our activities or if you sign up for any events and field trips. 3. Unsubscribe: You have the right to opt-out of our mailing list at any time. You can do this by clicking on the 'unsubscribe' link in any of our emails. No; however, an annual membership is still required. We are often asked if students have to be homeschooled in order to attend. While we DO welcome those outside of traditional homeschool, this group was designed specifically with homeschool families in mind. That being said, a lot of our field trips and events will be held during the week day (less crowded). The more the merrier!

Becoming a member of our Central Florida Homeschool Community provides families with access to educational experiences, group events, and special opportunities throughout the year. We are a privately run, volunteer-led, not-for-profit community. Membership fees help cover costs such as a website hosting, software tools, event coordination, and administrative expenses that allow us to operate smoothly and continue offering activities for families. Memberships are only $0.83 cents per month OR $10 Per Family Per Year! This Includes the following: • One Family Membership Card • One Private Membership Account • Access to Exclusive Group Deals and Discounts • Access to our Field Trips, Events, and Activities • Access to our Member Only Private Social Media • Text Alerts with Group Updates • Email Notifications • And much more! This depends on the event or field trip itself. Majority of our trips do require an activity ticket. All ticketed events are non-refundable so we do ask that you only submit a payment if you are certain you're able to attend as no exceptions are made. (Once you purchase the ticket, our system automatically orders supplies on our end.) Tickets may be transferred on a case by case basis. We now partner with Zeffy for all ticketed events giving you the ability to purchase tickets using all major credit cards, debit, or even Apple Pay. Our group ONLY uses Zeffy. We will NEVER ask you to send funds using any other form of payment. Please report any suspicious activity to us immediately. NOTE: If we have to cancel a field trip or event, we do our best to reschedule or offer a refund (minus processing fees). Our group is not responsible for any platform or service fees associated with any event and/or field trip. IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE: If a chargeback is filed for a membership, ticket, or event purchase, your access to future events may be suspended. Chargebacks result in our group bing held financially responsible for costs already paid to vendors, which is not sustainable. We reserve the right to deny future participation to individuals who submit chargebacks without prior communication. We also reserve the right to take approbate action, if necessary, to revere fees associated with unauthorized chargebacks or disputed payments. Our group aims to provide a fair and positive experience for all families, and policies are in place to ensure events remain affordable and sustainable for everyone involved. Yes; if you're no longer interested in being a part of our group, you may unsubscribe from our emails and texts at anytime or remove yourself from our social media groups. If you need help, just let us know - Click Here.(https://www.centralfloridahomeschool.org/contact) If a group member files a chargeback for an event or service without contacting us first, their access to future events may be suspended. See previous question for complete details regarding this. Additionally, if any parent or child engages in harassment, bullying, or disruptive behavior toward another group member, we may remove that individual and/or family from the group and all future events in order to maintain a safe and positive environment for families.

We are so glad you found us! To help spread the word about our events and field trips, we partner with third-party platforms like BetterSchool. They help us reach more people and meet minimum requirements for bigger discounts. Please note that ticket prices may be a little higher when purchased through these platforms due to their 10% platform fee and some additional service charges that are out of our control. Now that you know about us, we highly recommend purchasing tickets directly through us to save yourself a few dollars!

A release, waiver, and photo permission agreement is required to participate in our field trips and events. These forms are now included electronically during the membership registration and/or ticket purchase process on Zeffy. Once completed, there is no need to fill out additional paperwork unless a policy update occurs. Because our events involve group activities where photos may be taken and shared by families, we cannot guarantee that you or your child will not appear in the background of images. By completing the required forms and purchasing a membership and/or ticket, you acknowledge and accept these conditions. Without these signed agreements, we are unable to allow participation due to liability and safety policies. If you are not comfortable signing these forms, we complete understand; however, you will not be able to participate in group events or field trips. This ensures the protection and safety of all participating families and volunteers. We are not a business, nor a tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
